2018.
The year I took my business full time.
The year I traveled to eight different states in twelve months; three of which I had never been to before.
The year I created a website that I love.
The year I gained a godson.
The year I stood by one of my greatest friends’ side as she said “I do.”
The year I experienced one of the scariest, yet most fulfilling hikes of my entire life.
The year I bought the camera of my dreams.
The year I put my health and exercise as a priority in my daily routine.
The year I ran the entire way through, for a 5k.
The year I discovered many new allergies.
The year I got to visit so many friends all over the states.
The year I discovered I actually like salmon.
The year I put red highlights in my hair.
The year I cried happy tears when one of my friends got engaged.
The year I cried more happy tears when another friend announced she’s pregnant.
The year I met photographer’s that I have looked up to for so long.
The year I got my first henna tattoo.
The year I watched my sister/best friend’s belly grow until she gave birth to her sweet Will, and we all cried and fell head over heels in love with him.
The year I had a date with two of my nieces and took them to experience my favorite coffee shop, The Spot.
The year I experienced Las Vegas for the first time with my person.
The year I witnessed many friends graduate from college.
The year I flew for the first time on a private jet.
The year I learned many lessons the hard way.
The year I fell even more in love with voice lessons, and could see improvement.
The year I went to Disney on Ice with my goddaughter.
The year I learned where mine and everyone’s beauty truly comes from: from within. In our hearts, the way we radiate kindness and love and compassion and empathy and selflessness. That it doesn’t come from numbers or sizes or powders or mascara or flat irons or any of that. It all comes from our hearts, and the beauty that God places in those organs of ours.
Here’s to a year of learning, so much growth, and so many friendships and experiences that will be treasured for years to come. And here’s to even more in 2019.
xoxo
