My advice to you: treat your behind the scenes work just as you would treat your photo shoots. Plan out the time you’re going to work on it, and stick to that time. Plan out what you’re going to work on during that time, and stick to that. I have a large pile of shoots to edit as I do every summer, and that gets so overwhelming. However, ever since I’ve been planning out what dates and times I’m going to work on each photo shoot, I’ve felt so much better.
Not only does it ease your mind to have everything planned out into when you will work on what, but it also increases productivity. I have found that I am so much likelier to finish shoots on the dates that they were scheduled into my planner, and I am cranking out all of the editing a lot quicker than if I would have tried to just work on it all in one day.
Don’t let the behind the scenes work and stress of editing get to you, friends! You’ve got this. Try planning each thing into your planner this week, and see if it works for you. I have a strong feeling you’re going to like it, and you won’t have it any other way from here on out.
