Haley + Aaron.
A couple I will never forget about for the rest of my days.
Before I go into details of their story, here are some details of their wedding:
Hayley, Aaron, and their bridal party all got ready for their special day at the Aloft Chicago Mag Mile.
Their ceremony + reception took place at City Hall Private Events & Parties in Chicago, Illinois.
Prior to their ceremony, we took their photos at the Nature Boardwalk in Lincoln Park.
Now, onto their story.
This sweet couple. They went to hell and back two weeks before their wedding.
More than anyone could even begin to fathom, so I need y’all to take notes, because their strength + perseverance is inspiring.
Hayley + Aaron had their venue cancel on them just two weeks before their wedding.
The girls’ bridesmaid dresses were the wrong dresses when they went to pick them up, and they needed to have them expedited so they could receive them in time.
Her hairdresser went into labor the day before their wedding.
And for all that went wrong prior to their big day, God really did take care of everyone ON their wedding day, which in the end is what truly matters.
On the day of their wedding, my car broke down in the middle of the highway of Chicago, and my second photographer, Rosie’s husband just so happened to have the day off (which he doesn’t normally get off) and took care of getting it repaired at a shop, and safely back to their place by the time I was done with the wedding.
The rain held off until literally RIGHT when I said “okay let’s get an uber and get you two to your venue” and I’m not even kidding, as soon as I said those words, it began pouring.
After being sick the week prior to their wedding, my voice held it together until the very end of family pictures, and then went away, but it didn’t matter, because that’s when all of the photo direction was done.
And friends, these are all just examples of the way that God always, always, ALWAYS comes through. He IS our peace even through the deadliest storms.
God IS our sanity through the tornadoes and the fires and the hurricanes.
HE is our rock. And He always provides.
Thanking God today for friends that are actually family (Rosie + Spencer), and for the most incredible couple who through everything that happened, kept their love in the center of it all and knew that at the end of the day, them saying “I do” was the only thing that truly mattered.
There will be storms thrown at us every.single.day. but if we just cling to what truly matters in this life, then we will never lose sight of gratitude + holding on to what truly matters.
Haley + Aaron are SO special to me. And wow I will never forget their special day for the rest of my life.
xoxo
