It Takes A Whole Village

It was a beautiful Saturday morning for several Central, IL vendors, and we all got together to create one pretty darn magical stylized photo shoot.

styled shoot

We could not have chosen a more perfect/in love couple than Taylor and Jeff. Their love is just simply magical. Their eyes light up every time they look at one another, and most of the time I didn’t have to give any direction, as they naturally look at one another in the way that they did in these photographs.

The venue that these photographs were taken at is The Cannery in Eureka, Illinois. They were taken in one of their newer rooms and additions, called The Crate. They offer smaller gatherings in this room, as well as showers and parties. The Cannery has couches in addition to tables and chairs, with a home-y type of feel inside. It has that perfect wooden look to it, and the wood added that perfect brown tint to these photographs.

IDo Events decorated the venue with their beautiful table and chairs, place settings, dishes, silverware, chair decor, and additional decor. I was able to witness the team of IDo Events set up inside The Cannery, and the transformation truly felt magical. The decor and styling this team does is mind blowing. It was all set up in no time, and each and every element to the table set-up was so perfectly tied together. I was in awe of how perfect they made this vision come to life.

Morgan with Local Blooms arranged the flowers for this shoot, and they were everything and more that I could have hoped for. She also provided Eucalyptus for the center of the table, and that added the most perfect pop of green to the photographs. The bouquet she provided had a spring look to it, which is exactly what we were wanting. A perfect bohemian, subtle-toned, look that had everyone staring.

Bekah at Oasis Salon is a fairy, I’m convinced. She created a beautiful hair style for Taylor, and went exactly for the look that fit the shoot perfectly. Taylor had mentioned to me before the shoot that she was slightly nervous for her hair because of how thin it is, and Bekah stated that she works with that all the time, and it wouldn’t be a problem. She was so right! Bekah created a beautiful, curled, and flowing hair style to accompany the floral piece Local Blooms also arranged for Taylor’s hair.

This was my second time working with Lauren Schwei for makeup, and oh my goodness I never want to have anyone else do makeup. She is simply just one of those people that you can tell them what you have in mind, and she creates exactly what you were hoping for, and more. Lauren did the makeup for Taylor, and went exactly for the style and colors that all of the vendors also created. She also is so fun to work with and relatable to everyone. I’m very thankful I got to work with this beauty again.

Tami and Larissa with East to West Studio provided designs for this shoot. I met Tami in college, where we were both Graphic Design majors, and we became great friends, fast. She and Larissa are two of those people that are so outgoing, and just love anyone and everyone! Their message they send through their work is an inspiration: to glorify God through all that they do. Their designs are the most perfect combination of modern and classy, and I love every design that they create more than the next.

It’s shoots like these that put me on such a high. Times like these are just part of the reason of why I do what I do. I love collaborating, I love working with others in the community, and I love getting to know other vendors in the area. This shoot was one of my favorites to date, and I’ll probably never stop posting photos from it. Check out these lovely ladies and the beautiful work that they create. Oh, and Taylor and Jeff, because they’re beautiful humans, and their love for one another makes me cry a little (no shame).

xoxo
