“I had a really bad day and he had heard about it, so he drove all the way to Ardmore, Pennsylvania, and took me to buy a new Lilly Pulitzer dress.”
This is the kind of love that Sage and Alexys have. Real, genuine, caring, comforting, and everlasting. These two are currently in college and although they’ve only been dating two years this October, the type of love they have for one another is so rare.
Alexys goes to college in Pennsylvania and Sage in Illinois, so the two of them have a long distance relationship (which by the way, is not easy to do). She contacted me and told me that she wanted to surprise Sage for his birthday and come in town, and schedule a photo shoot. I was so overjoyed to capture these two and the beautiful love story that they share.
Alexys wanted to incorporate her Lilly Pulitzer dress and Sage’s matching tie into the shoot, so we finished off our session with those outfits. She told me that one day she was having a really bad day at school and had told Sage about the events of the day while he was visiting her for her formal. He knew she had seen better days and knew her love for Lilly Pulitzer, so he drove over three hours to the Lilly Pulitzer store and bought her a new dress.
If that’s not love, then I truly do not know what is.
Sage and Alexys share something so special and beautiful, that not many have. They joke with one another and make each other laugh constantly, but also have such a deep care for one another’s hearts. Alexys shared with me that Lilly Pulitzer is her favorite line of clothing. But there’s a love that she has that’s even deeper and more beautiful than any Lilly Pulitzer dress, and that’s her unfailing love for Sage. Like a Lilly Pulitzer love, only priceless, and it will fit for forever.
